What can I do differently in an already crowded market? I didn’t want to be that part of the fashion industry that keeps churning out new collections weekly and fortnightly. I want to be part of creating wealth and caring for well being of the artisans, weavers, and supply chain workers. I had long conversations with my mother about fashion in her young days, their knowledge of fashion, and their buying habits. I found out that new clothes were bought only for special occasions such as weddings and traditional festivals. The norm was buying three to five pieces per year and keeping a basic wardrobe with quality that will last and wearing it as long as possible.
